Feline Asthma What You Need to Know about it

Feline Asthma can affect cats of all ages and is quite common in cats.

Asthma can occur in cats in the same way as humans.

It can be difficult to diagnose your cat's asthma. Cats can suffer from everything from a raspy deep breathing pattern to severe asthma attacks. A few simple tests and xrays will help your vet determine feline asthma.

Don't panic if your cat is diagnosed with feline asthma. It is just as simple to manage and care for feline asthma as it is for humans. It's important to keep an eye on your cat's breathing and respond quickly to any signs of an ashtma attack.

Your veternarian can provide all the information and assistance you need.

To cover the nose and mouth of your cat, you will need a mask made specifically for it. This medicine is only prescribed for asthma patients. It is not recommended that you take any additional doses.

You can administer the medication to your cat by coaxing your cat onto your lap.

Make sure your cat is relaxed and comfortable. Place the medication and mask on the spacer. The mask should be gently wrapped around the cat's mouth and nose.

You don't have to close the spacer. The spacer should be used to administer the proper dosage, as directed by your vet. As he might be scared by the noise, ensure you hold onto your cat with a firm grip. Keep the mask on until your cat is satisfied that the medication has been inhaled.

If you live in a smoggy city, consider moving your cat indoors.

Kitty will love you for it!
